getting thrifty!

Postby Giantmoa » Sat May 07, 2011 9:15 pm

since my dad is a machinist and has a shop in our backyard with all the power tools you could hope for (and much, much more) I realized my toy making possibilities are practically infinite. I drilled holes in some plastic spoons and cut up chunks of wood to size for toy making and now I'm on the lookout for cheap household items to make more toys (currently scavenging bottlecaps 8-)) . It's too bad the dollar store by my house just closed or I could find more
heres a picture of one of the toys I made. I mostly used toy parts I ordered online months ago and reused pieces of old toys to make it plus a spoon. share pictures of your homemade toys or toy ideas?

She's having fun banging the spoon part against the bars  and the leather is being well-chewed

I made a training perch/toy holding stand out of a microphone stand I found at a thrift store.
