My first attemp at building a play gym. I had my son for the weekend so we built this saturday afternoon. let me know what you think.

Seems to love it. she was a litte leary of the rope ladder at first, but now she races up and down it.

looks very professional =p when i move house (next couple of weeks) im going to start making making stuff (or attempting to) for my birds. put my 5 years of woodshop to good use i hope...

what materials did you use?

most of it is unfinished pine. didnt want to use any chemicals. i think the material was less than $60.00 at home depot. not sure if you have home depot there but im sure you have something.

im guessing home dept is the same as bunnings here, just a huge warehouse that stocks everything under the sun

everything from building supplies to bathrooms, kitchens and gardens

I would never spend so much on a play set I would rather make my own too.

I was just wondering though: I always thought that having a cage with an open top would be really good, is it worth the extra $10-$20?
