We wash all of our corks. And the ones we have are old so would that matter? Also wil lthe cork help wear down there beaks or no?

The corks would have the alcohol soaked into it, so no, don't use it. Also being so soft and processed I'd doubt they have any beak maintenance uses. Balsa wood would be better

I've seen people use them. But be very careful! I don't know of they'll swallow them or not.

I suggest to use them. Also do not use string bracelets or any string that is in any sort of loop!

Do not use pipecleaners. The metal can cause poisoning in your birds.
