need new and different toys

thanks! i ordered some stuff from blues bird toys a week or so ago and it came in yesterday right when i put up the yucca and pine wooden toy he started touching it with his beak! he also got more wooden slates and sticks to chew on their pine and hes already demolished 4 of them lol!

Ye, they dont half get through the toys! Ive seen me spend £15-£20 on 1 toy and its lasted 2-3 hours!

My fault for buying a Macaw though, lol

you should try making your own toys the toys parts are pretty decent prices and it doesnt take that long to make them! you can even use house hold stuff or go to a craft store and get wood pieces and just give them to your macaw if their untreated as something to hold in his foot and chew

I have one for Malachite and he looooves it! It provides hours of entertainment and can be reused over and over again. You could fill it up with the wooden parts you got. I usually fill mine up with pine slats and hard plastic beads but I recently added a manzanita slice that is next to impossible to destroy. Malachite is making a real effort though! I'm planning on getting a few more someday.

marty isnt really a fan of cardboard or anything like that sadly he really just likes wood mostly pine

Oh - by the way - she has learned how to untie a square knot.
