I've had a look at some cat carriers online but none of them seem to give measusements for the bar spacing on the front door, a bit worried he will be able to stick his head through and get stuck in either the grid or the space around the grid. Some of them look quite small spacing but I can't really be sure without seeing them, even the ones that looked small in pictures were alot bigger when I looked at them in person (these ones didn't have the top door). Definitely want one with the top opening which the spacing looks completely fine for, its just the side door that could be an issue. All the pet carriers I've seen in pet stores have spacing or gaps between the grid and the door that really wouldn't be suitable for a green cheek.
Thought about the possibility of securing some perspex over the actual grid with some cable ties or something but I'm not convinced that would work too well although it would be easy to remove and replace for cleaning. Another idea was stainless steel meshing but would rather not go that route and I think I would end up having to buy a roll or something which would prove costly when I would only need a little square.

I plan on getting this ^. I know a bunch of people who have them and I hear the quality is excellent! The bars are made of stainless steel.
