Cheap safe toy from Ikea

Postby AuraKiwi&Jala » Tue Sep 04, 2012 9:27 am

Hello, I wanted to share my new find in the endless search of new ideas to entertain my loving bunch.
Unfortunately I still haven t managed to learn how to download pictures from my iPad 2 to this forum.
Ikea sells these natural untreated bundles of long decorative twigs( about6ft tall) , you can find the picture online under "stalks"on the ikea website although they only display the white painted ones.
You can purchase these instore in the plant department, I can t remember exactly what I paid put I believe it was $15 and u get dozens of these stalks.
I run a few throw the bars of the cage and my little ones spend hours hanging upside down on the tips(atop of the cage) chewing on these.
Sometimes I also just let them hangout in the whole bundle I have standing in a vase and watch them swing from twig to twig....THEY LOVE IT!

I believe your talking about these?: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60153453/
It says they are "Renewable Raw material" and are Mulberry Twigs... As long as they are not painted, I wouldn't see the harm. Plus they are very inexpensive!
Just a young parrot novice looking to learn more. Considering getting a small parrot! (perhaps a budgie, lovebird, or conure!)
