Leaving Cape Parrot Home Alone for Three Days

I had to leave Truman alone for 3 days less than 2 weeks since I got him. I wasn't thrilled to do this but it turned out for the better! For 3 days there was no one there to baby him and feed him so he had to be a big boy and take care of himself. I'm sure he screamed a lot but there was no one there but Kili to listen to it. Of course I had someone come twice a day to change food/water but otherwise the bird was on his own. Did he gain or lose weight for the whole ordeal, some details of my trip, and fresh pictures of Truman are all in the details of this article.

We spend a lot of time worrying about them, but they sure are resilient animals aren't they. Glad to hear everything worked out with Truman while you were gone.

Great pictures!

I'm glad Truman managed to feed himself over the weekend. Sometimes a little adversity is a good thing...
