I recently visited the Field Museum in Chicago and present some observations about their bird related collection in this blog. Photos of specimens of rare parrots and descriptions included.

Very interesting. I was stationed in the Chicago area for almost 2 years and never made it to the field museum. Things you don't care about when you are young, but would love to have the oppertunity as an adult...sigh!

Isn't the Kakapoo the parrot in YouTube who "shagged" a man's head? The video was funny and pitiful at the same time.
