Miley is... Creative.

The other day I was watching Miley eat. It was very interesting, actually. She's pretty... Uh.. How to put it nicely... Special? Creative? (She's a total WEIRDO! <3)

She's always been quite a funny eater, she'll actually pick up the pellets or whatever with her foot. She'll just sit there, with her back and neck straight up, not moving anything other than her foot. If she accidentally picks up a piece of food she doesn't like or want to eat, she'll just drop it and get her foot down there again and again and again (and she's really quick) until she finally gets something good, and it's SO entertaining to watch!

Well, this time she had some vegetables and a few millet seeds in there and it turned out to be probably the funniest and weirdest thing I've ever seen.
She picked up a piece of broccoli with her foot and tasted it. She didn't like it, so she brought it to her water bowl, dipped in the water (also with her foot), went back to the food dish, and kind of dipped the broccoli in the food too - so that when she brought it up to her face again, there were seeds stuck to the broccoli. She ate her seeds while still holding the broccoli in her foot, and then proceeded to do the same thing over and over again.
It was amazing.
I don't know if she's a genius or a psycho! Probably both.

Hahaha...that sounds adorable. I love birdie quirks. Has she done it again since? That would make a great video. Interesting that she uses a tool. Hmmm. Smarty pants!

Marvin picks up everything with his foot, too, even things that seem too small to bother. It's funny watching him try to dig the little whatever-it-is out from between his chunky toes. Does Miley take food from your hand with her foot? Marvin started doing that the other day and I was surprised. I handed him a piece of apple and he reached out with his foot to take it. Weird. I am curious if a lot of Sennies do this.

Haven't seen her do that again, no, but I'll make sure to run after a camera if I catch her doing it more!

Aw! Miley hasn't taken anything from my hand with her foot "on purpose" so to say. Her previous family taught her to wave when she was a baby though, and ever since, every time she wants something, she'll "wave" a bit and reach out her foot for it, and I can kind of place the treat in her foot and she'll go from there, but most of the time she takes it with her beak

I was surprised when I noticed Miley picking food up with her foot because I've never seen that before at all, so I don't know! I don't think I've heard of any Sennie picking up stuff/food with their foot before though, but yeah, I have no idea really!
