That you all for the continued support. This is the hardest thing that has ever happened to me because as I have suffered the loss of pets before no one has been my best friend like Bubba. He just wanted to cuddle and cling and follow me around everywhere as I am sure other

owners know. His loss is a giant hole in my heart.
I visit his grave and put fresh flowers on it every day and say, "Good morning, I miss you," and at night I visit his grave and tell him "Good night" and say a prayer for his little birdie soul. Then I sing to him: "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey, you'll never know dear, how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away!"

Well I was devastated that I wasn't there to hold him as he died BUT the good thing he was at the vet so he got a necropsy right away. On his last few days his droppings were yellow and I am suspicious of liver damage. I actually have a theory:
Xylitol (artificial sweetener) is poisonous to dogs and causes liver failure. I just saw this on the news yesterday. Now I don't use Xylitol but I use Splenda in my coffee every single day. Bubba NEVER gets coffee or anything else with Splenda in it BUT he is often in the kitchen near me when I put the Splenda in the cup and it's very powdery and I never thought about it but it must get very airborne. I don't know how much you guys know about Splenda but it contains chlorine. I ALWAYS watched my hands after I used the Splenda but my Bubba bird would just cuddle my hand or palm all day and now I am suspicious the original symptom (sneezing) was a reaction to inhaling chlorine particles from the Splenda residue. I think over MONTHS (~Feb. -May when he died) it caused liver failure and I don't think the TWO antibiotics he was needlessly on helped with the liver, either.

Poor Percy. I'm sorry again for your loss.
Thanks again for all the support.
