Does this ever happen to you?

Postby KimberlyAnn » Wed May 08, 2013 9:55 pm

So the strangest thing is happening when I go to take pictures of Emmi with my phone. She poses like this...

Image

And the picture comes out like this...

Image

I look behind my phone in surprise! And I just see this...

Image

So awww cute Emmi. I take a picture and see this...

Image

On the other side of the phone?

Image

Nope, nothing going on there. Let's try this one more time...

See what I mean? What IS that! What's happening? I'm sleeping with the lights on tonight!

Looks like the shutter not opening properly on your camera... how did you take the other photos?

Take a picture with the camera not on Emmi and see what happens. If it only happens around Emmi that's a bit odd! LOL

It's Emmi lol I can't get her to stop eating the camera when I try to focus it. Then all I see is BIG EYED MONSTER PICS! Or video where you see her running towards you fast with beak open and then lick lick lick. Lol

Yeah Edmund does this! George not so much... They so cute... I'm really hoping in a couple of years we can add a green cheek conure. I've always wanted one but we wanted Edmund to have a buddy first and couldn't put a conure in the same cage! LOL

They are such a handful! Lol I honestly don't remember what life was like before I got a chattering, climbing, running, flying, hand nap demanding, water splashing, handful of feathers. That's just what she is. The best part is when I come home from work in need of a hug and she's right there to put the whole front of her body against my cheek...for a long time...she really leans in...even if you move her finger perch away...she would rather fall then be removed from my cheek. Lol And I will greatly be regretting the day when she goes for my eye. I have to stop this! But it's so hard to!

George loves to sit near my cheek (he's cockatiel though) and then he comes down to my lap and he has scratches. He quite often falls asleep while im scratching his ears and he goes on one foot and I have to put him back in the cage.

He also has some conure-like behaviour... he's obsessed with water! Loves it! he likes being cuddled in a hand on his back and also lays down on your lap or on his foraging platform to eat his soft foods (I think he likes it as then he can stick his whole head and front in it!) gets covered in sweet potatoe or fruity mash or whatever the soft food is. He doesn't do it in his pellets or seeds, he prefers to sit on the edge or sometimes in it...

(Don't worry the AV checked all this)- it's just something he does! Really cute though!

Haha that's funny!!

I take a MILLION pics of Dusty before I get the just right ones.

I also like taking photos of his "annoyed" or aggressive states, or situations in which he may bite....for the purpose of quizzing my family so they learn more about parrot behaviour.
