I don't know any way of keeping birds away from plants... I can tell you how to do it for dogs and cats but not birds because, if they like them, they will chew them no matter what you do. I used to hang spider plants for them in the birdroom and they used to chew them all the way down to the root -but that was the purpose of them been there so I did not mind, of course.

Maybe I will wrap the trunk in jute or something that's ok when chewed. Or wrap it in carrots and she will for sure stay away! Lol she hates them.
