Wow they both look so alike but different colors. Can't even tell who's bigger.

You think? I think they look so different ^^, colors obviously not taken into account ;). They have completely different body language, its probably that.

Leroy is the bigger of the two, weighing in at a ~235g while Stitch is at ~190g. They are almost the same size though, Leroy is just a little more robust. Both birds are at their target weights through food management and daily weighing :).

No and yes.

His beak is very sturdy, and was a bit long (still is, but its ok now).
It has been groomed by an avian vet twice this year, last time about 2 months ago. The vet didnt want to groom too much, but thought it looked good now, and said Leroy's beak was very robust.

Actually, here is an edited response.

Do you consider everyone except yourself uneducated twats? Its not that I dont agree with you, which I often do in many discussions, but that you always assume that people dont know anything. It's annoying and to be honest, it doesnt make you look good. I might read too much into your comment, but they are always of a certain condescending tone which I think is ill chosen.

Of course Ive noticed how his beak looks, its my bird which I spend hours with everyday.
I've had various concerns over it during the past year (which Ive posted forum threads about), and had him examined by an avian vet.

His beak seems to grow faster than normal, despite shredding wooden toys like crazy, which is why he's been at an avian vet two times this year for grooming, as per my post above.

The avian vet, who is considered one of the best and acknowledged by many peers, didnt see any reason for concern and thought I was fussing. They groomed the beak quite alot last time, but I still think its slightly too long, but the vet doesnt think its anything to worry about. He also commented on the thickness, but said it's nothing, and just a quirk in his beak growth.

It's likely that we have to visit the vet more frequently than usual for beak grooming.

But thank you for being such a know-it-all, racking down on people and spoiling a nice thread with photos I like and wanted to share.

Cheerio.

Omg, they are so adorable! They seem to get along well too, did they automatically get along so well? Or did it take time and work? You should post pictures more often, seeing pictures of people's parrots warms my heart. :)

Initially they squabbled quite a bit, and I was worried it might not work out. It did however, with some work like controlling what environments they met in at first etc and of course some time they solved their issues, and learnt to understand each other. Leroy was more of a bird, and Stitch thought he was a human with wings when they met.

Now they are the best buddies in the world :D!
