Myrtle was sucked out the door by a wind gust. She was scared and crying for "Ma" from the top of my neighbors tall tree. While being thrown around she managed to grab the tip of a twig and hang on. The wind was too hard for her to fly down and the tree was whipping around so she was scared to let go of her twig and climb down.
We had a miracle. A young man who lived in the neighborhood that I had never seen before saw I had something in a tree. Thinking it was a cat he came over and said he was a god tree climber. He was but surprised to find a bird instead of a cat. He was scared of her and she was scared of him. She did listen to me when I told her it was "okay". She grabbed his hand and climbed his arm then held tightly to his shoulder until she was within my reach.
I don't remember why but I had $40 in my pocket and gave it to him with many many thanks. It was a miracle. At that time I was the only one Myrtle would come to.
I don't believe that your bird is out there alone. If she was socialized she found a human to take her in. I have been reading facebook and there are many lost and founds. Almost as many founds as lost. Post on facebook and read it often. Put fliers up in stores with reward. I believe your bird has been taken in and am sure that the humans are doing their best to take care of her until you find her. Get on it and find her fast before they fall in love with her.
