Newish pics and stuff!

Postby mrbowlerhat » Fri Dec 20, 2013 8:31 pm

Hey, I feel like I haven't posted anything in forever pretty much, so I thought I'd do another one of my I'll-just-leave-y'all-here-with-a-few-cute-parrot-photos- topics ;) Haha.
I do have quite a few shots, but they're almost all pretty (very) bad quality, but meh! They're still cute.

And three REALLY bad quality ones of Meg, but I had to include them because she's an adorable banana. Also accepting (not LOVING though, her opinion is kind of "meh") scritches!

Meg and Nicko has been living here since July, and prior to that, Meg's only knowledge about humans was that they're not that pleasant, kind of scary and pretty much only grab you and force you into different cages.
She now steps up and recently started accepting scritches (...or, like, accepting the fact that the pain-in-the-butt human perch that Nicko seems to like so much sometimes likes to touch her head for some weird-ass reason)
Nicko's favourite thing to do is to force his face into mine and whine about the fact that I'm not currently spending all of my time kissing his beak and cheeks. He's lovely. <3

Alaska's her usual Sennie self; adorable, loud, curious and a bit too clever. She's the sweetest ever.

Oh, and I actually had a little cuddle session with Miley today for the first time since like May or something! She's also adorable, but still somewhat of an attack bird :P I still most of the time can't even approach her if she's not in her cage and if we're not in the middle of a training session, but we're getting somewhere! :D
(Oh, and, I don't know if you noticed, but no Miley photos included. She still hates the camera and the phone and I don't want to annoy her for nothing :P)

So this turned out a bit longer than expected, let's end it here! ;)

Oh, and also(!), a Swedish parrot society recently put together a calendar with lots of awesome parrot photos that people sent in, and they featured all of my birds (including Alaska and Miley on the cover):

Nice shots, and beautiful birds! I agree about the first...looks like someone got covered in pixie dust. ;)
