Portrait of Stitch (and now Leroy as well)

Postby cml » Sun Dec 29, 2013 10:34 am

Just wanted to share a recent portrait of Stitch. Of course I am biased, but I think he is a very handsome parrot :)!

I am trying to get a similar portrait of Leroy, be he doesnt want his photo taken atm ;), at least not a portrait...got plenty of them playing etc, but not of Leroy alone.

Thanks, both of you :)! I am very happy with that shot, there's sooo much detail, especially when shown larger. It will probably make a great print.

He is GORGEOUS! I just want to kiss him and smell him... as handsome as he is, those 'Zons always smell so sweet, too. :)

Cml, I think this should be your new avatar, it's so awesome.

I need a 135mm prime. Preferable a f1.8. Parrot portraits would be a lot easier from across the room.

Probably yes, but a good 135/1.8 could be quite hard to come by though. Maybe a legacy lens?

Both my photos (and most of all photos I post here nowadays) are taken with a 35/1.8.
Before that it was a legacy 40/1.8.

Oh gosh! Awesome. I LOVE his little cheek feathers! And again, love the eye and the smooth reflection in it.
Have I mentioned that I really adore Leroy? ;)
