Ollie..

Postby marie83 » Thu May 01, 2014 11:33 am

...has all of a sudden developed this really annoying habit of forcing his way in to my top, doesn't matter if it's tight he will bite and scratch at it until he is in. I've taken to wearing 2 layers, a tight one and a looser one- apparently being in between 2 fabric layers doesn't feel nearly as good as my skin and he nearly always manage to squeeze his way in. I wouldn't mind as much but he always manages to hurt me whilst in there lol.

LOL- Bocca (male GCC) has the same, identical habit! I wear old TShirts while at home because I always have a bird on me with the corresponding poop and holes this means so he has no problem getting in - the only thing I've had to change is that I now wear a bra all the time (better safe than sorry, you know) -LOL

Maybe he's going bird watching? Maybe hoping to mark a booby or tit off his list?

No, but he came to visit not too long ago for a few days. I always 'board' all the birds I've rehomed for free whenever the owners need it. Last night, four babies of mine came back for a ten day stay: Codee (female GCC), Pablo Naranjo (male peach front and her mate), and two male canaries, one a rescue and the other a Timbrado bred by me. Poor Pablo is severely handicapped (missing one wing and with a bit of a neurological problem with coordination and balance) and not people friendly (ex-breeder) but he loves, loves, loves Codee and, although he occasionally still calls for her whenever she comes out, he doesn't seem to mind too much. Codee remembered me immediately and quickly climbed to the top of her cage and jumped to my shoulder as soon as I opened the cage door this morning and spent a looooooong time (I was doing the canaries) all fluffed up, cuddling against my neck and rubbing her face on my cheek while making loud smack kiss noises all the time - such a sweet little girl! Needless to say, my heart melted big time! She was given up because of aggression but she is one of those birds that you can't figure out why anybody would ever think she is aggressive because she has always been the sweetest thing... (I have several birds like that -birds that people give up because they say they are aggressive but for the life of me, I don't know why!)

Oh no, I don't even want to think of the consequences of not wearing a bra.....!! Then again I always do in the house anyway, as long as he doesn't figure out how to squeeze in there too....

I'm not 100% sure if this is directed at me or pajarita since she already answered this question so I'll answer anyway. I've not said too much so far as worried about jinxing things but I'm actually with them about 3/4s of the time now and that's increasing gradually so hopefully full time soon eh? :)

We've been seeing each other again for a few months now, still a couple of issues to thrash out though but we are getting there I hope.
