Mockingbird vs Parrot

Postby Harpmaker » Tue May 06, 2014 2:33 pm

Yesterday I took Corsair out into my backyard in her travel cage and put it in a safe place. A mockingbird in a tree started singing, so Corsair answered. The mockingbird changed tunes, and Corsair followed to sing the new one. Eventually the mockingbird found a tune Corsair didn't know, so she answered with "people whistles"-calling the dog, etc. The mockingbird didn't follow, so Corsair got mad and started croaking "charge!" over and over-her croak is MUCH louder than her speaking voice. I laughed so hard I had trouble breathing.

Alas, I was thinking more of gardening than filming. If she does it again, I'll try to catch it.
