My Bird is a Woos!

Postby luvsmallfurries » Thu Jun 05, 2014 12:11 am

I learned something new tonight...nail polish is apparently a mortal enemy of Senegal parrots and if you are wearing it when you stick your hand in the cage you will cause your slightly neurotic parrot to have a complete freak out

Still...I've seen over produced opera that was less dramatic!

Seriously though...it never dawned on me that he might think it was someone else's hand. That does make sense.

Leroy is exactly the same! He's a total wuss when my wife paints her nails and refuses to be anywhere near her hands (so now my wife hardly ever paint them :P).

It's not something I normally do...I got treated to a manicure for my birthday. I guess next time I'll opt for a pedicure :)

Haha, Alaska is the exact opposite - I've stopped using nail polish because she just won't leave my nails alone when they're all colorful and interesting!

They don't like bandaged up fingers either... this is Ollie that is scared of very very little, I've had to strap 2 together, he wont come near my left hand at all lol. He is ok with nail polish though, not that I use it much.
