Be glad for it because that behavior is called 'displaced aggression' and that means he is taking his anger out on an object and not on the true cause of it -which could be you for choosing another bird over him -LOL-

Had to go to the doctor's office yesterday, it is 35 miles from my house so since I was there I decided to visit the only pet shop locally and picked up a really cool bird bath for Paquita. It is really for budgies so I decided that that was close enough in size and I liked it because in addition to it having a clear cover on it , it fits on the outside of the cage and uses one of the feeder/ waterer doors to give the bird access. Paquita seems to love it and while she didn't take a bath in it, she had to go in it and check it out and kept going back into it for close to half an hour. I did have water in it and she drank from it and waded about but no bath. I also got a wild hair and got an 8 inch diameter hamster ball and placed Paquita in it and set it on the floor. Paquita ran after the dogs and chased them around the room for a few minutes. When she stopped I picked it up and let her out.
This morning I opened the door to her cage, without her noticing that it was open, and called her. It took a couple of minutes but she figured out that the door was open and flew across the room to me. This was a first because she didn't know the door was open. She is really quite smart. Then after lots of scritches , I opened the hamster ball and Paquita jumped right in and I let her run around on the floor for a few minutes. I let her back out and in just a couple of minutes she was climbing back into the ball, so I think that she likes it and knows that she is safe from the dogs and cats in it. I don't let her stay in it more than just a few minutes at a time before letting her out and petting her. It is so funny to see her in her little bubble chasing a 100 pound dog around the room.
Well that about does it for the continuing adventures of Paquita the parrotlet.

 How adorable is that?! You should take a picture of her in her hamster ball! I've never heard of anybody putting a little bird in one but it sounds like a perfect solution (they are so tiny, one is always afraid to step on them).

Since I was not able to get any decent pictures of my birds with the camera that we had, I was finally able to get a new camera. I have been saving for it for over a year and finally found one on sale that takes both still and videos. So I am going to try to post some pics and maybe the short video of Paquita in her bubble.
Forgot to resize them all so will retry in a short while.

Trying to post pics again.

Alright, it worked!

Paquita loves her bubble, as soon as she sees it she begins her chittering and gets all excited and climbs into it all by herself just as soon as I can get it open. I barely get it open before she is inside demanding the top put back on it. She loves running all over the floor to attack the cats with her bubble. It took her all of 2 minutes to realize that the cats couldn't get to her in her bubble and that they would run from it if she chased them with it.
Will have to figure out how to post a video of her.

LOL - Adorable! And what smart cookies they are, aren't they?! People usually think of the little ones as not as smart as the bigger ones but they are sooooooo wrong! I'll send Elena and Kelvin an email with the new pictures, they always mention her and are very grateful every time I send them news (they also always tell me to thank you for taking her in and giving her such a good home!).

I couldn't find a clear one but she doesn't seem to care. She is adorable and I am glad that I came to get her. She is very smart and she flies across the room to get to me first thing in the morning when I open the cages, so she is doing quite well and hangs out on me even with the other birds out. Kiki, the Senegal mostly ignores her when they are both on me, and so she doesn't seem to view Paquita as a threat or rival for attention.

Omg that has to be the cutest thing I've ever seen!! She sure seems to love her bubble, how did you come up with that idea?? Anyway I'm so glad she has a wonderful home now and you're taking such a good care of her Wolf!
Everyone likes birds. What creature is more accessible to our eyes and ears, as close to us and everyone in the world?
