I never before realized that that green monster ( jealousy) also came clothed in pretty green feathers.
Oh, while I am here and thinking about it, the pretty blue feathers are getting more numerous and don't appear to me as if the are anything other than what should be their. I wonder if Elena and Kelvin might have any picture from before the plucking began that would show the area of his back between his wings or if they remember if that area was a cobalt blue or not. Might be worth asking, if you are still in touch with them.
Also thank them for the bird for me, again, I just love him, he is so funny and adorable.

They say that the breeder they got her from had all the babies in the clutch DNA'd and that she was a female. And I found out that some Celestial hens do get a blue rump - see here: http://www.parrotletsuk.com/parrotlet-species.html so I guess the only sure way is going to be DNAing again.

Yep, sounds like it to me, too. So I will do that as soon as there are enough feathers to do it.

Well, I wish that there were a way to keep this original posting and its name, but to change the name of it from this point forward. But I don't know how this can be done effectively. This is brought on as now Paquita is not all alone, I now have her a boyfriend or at the very least a companion, so this brings the initial phase of her life with me to its next phase, life with a friend.
Paquita is an older female of 10 years and has been a single lady all of this time. Rajah is roughly half her age, as he is a 4 year old man of the world as he is a retired breeder.
I think that I am going to start a new topic for them and refer back to this one in the beginning so that people can read the whole story if they want to. I am still working of the title for it, but am leaning towards " Paquita and Rajah ; A Love Story ? "
Antone else have any ideas for this ?

Sounds good to me! And I think it would be a wonderful way of showing people how important it is for these little ones to have a companion bird of their own... too many lonely ones out there.
