I wish that I had more information to give you on this but I have shared everything that I know about this matter and as far as I am aware of if you abide by the information already given this will eventually clear itself up. I know that it is frustrating to wait for nature to do it work but it also took time for this problem to develop although that is no consolation. It is like everything else parrot, patience.

Sorry, I haven't read your other posts (or don't remember if I have) but I don't think 4 eggs are anything to panic over. Just leave them in the cage with her til she gets bored of sitting on them, even if she isn't yet sitting on them leave them in until your sure she has stopped laying. I'm not sure if it applies to macaws but I've head some birds don't start sitting on them until they've laid a few eggs.

I am assuming that Wolf/Pajarita has already given you advice on solar schedules & diet since you have posted before but I really would take their advice if you haven't started to do so already :)

Marie, the problem is that the eggs are too far apart to actually constitute a clutch so we are not talking about that, we are talking about a potential chronic laying situation.

If she has had her protein intake reduced (no free-feeding any high protein food: pellets, seeds, nuts, nutriberries, etc) and she is been kept at a STRICT solar schedule with full exposure to dawn and dusk and no light whatsoever at nigh (a little sliver seems to be enough for overhormonal birds), then it's just a matter of waiting for her endocrine system to go back on track. Hormonal species take several seasons (I had a lovebird once that took an entire year -she had been a breeder for nine and kept at a human schedule all along) but macaws are not considered one of them so she must have been kept at a human schedule for years and, if this is the case, you just have to wait her out. As long as her eggs shells are hard and thick (get yourself a free-range dozen eggs and break one to compare), there is no problem - for now...
