My Jardine's parrot doesn't talk. But, the other day...I was antagonizing him a little out of fun by grabbing at his tail... and he told me very very clearly: "Stop it!" hahahah
Sounds like a bird that I would love to meet. Would you mind telling me more about him starting with his age if you know it and continuing with how long have you known him , how long after that did he decide to move in with you and what is his basic lifestyle. I would ask him, but you said that he doesn't talk so I am assuming that he doesn't read much either.
Sounds like Rambo. He talks when he has something to say and boy can he say it. He has a very wide vocabulary. Your going to find that yours is just full of words and knows how to use them.
Pod is about four years old. I have had him just one year. It has been a great year with him. I took him in after he had been rehomed several times. He didn't come from a great home with too much attention. It took me several days to scrub the cigarette smoke film off his cage and he was on a seed diet only. I was told he hadn't been handled in a while... Boy he can bite. (Jealousy aggression) However, he has since learned to whistle the theme tune to Annie. And, now can wave, turn, target, lift his wings on command, fetch and return a ball and also stack cups. I am getting him the puzzle for xmas. He learned "Stop it" from me. I know I have said it a lot :/...He is always into something of mine and has to be apart of everything that i do. One of his favorite places to go exploring is my big purse, rather chewed to pieces now... I guess that is his way of telling me that he would like to go with me when I leave. We are working with the harness and hopefully next summer we will venture out together a lot. Thanks for all your commentary.
