SICK. How did they get them in there? Instead of taking pictures, why did they not get them out?
I hope they are rehabbed then released. They will never trust people again.

Yes, in a tiny space where they cannot move at all - just like they did to the poor birds! Can you imagine how terrified they must have been?!

As to how, they cut the bottoms off and stuffed in head first, the sadistic sociopaths!

I was trying to not post any reply to this, as my feeling in this matter should be kept to myself as unfitting for man or beast to even have. However, both of Liz and Harpmaker's reply give me reason to make a reply from a different perspective. I do agree with them about enough with the pics and free the birds. But ...
As heart breaking as these pictures are( and so many pics) they are needed to fully prosecute these criminals to the fullest extent of the law. Like I truly believe that will happen. The officials that do this type of work must become somewhat jaded to this treatment of these birds or they could not do this effectively and they see this and worse, I am sure. For them the rescue has happened as they are now in possession of the birds and must now document this atrocity if they hope to get a conviction in this area of the world where these as well as most laws are regularly flaunted by the well to do and uncaring who have enough money to purchase a reprieve. Just one of many thoughts I have concerning the rescue of these birds.

I agree with Wolf, they would have to take photos of the birds and the state they were found in for the court case. I'm sure they were taken out and treated as soon as possible(those that were still alive

Yes, and not only to document the case for the court but also to bring to light to the bird and animal lover international community the abuses people commit against animals. Too many people think of their own 'inconvenience' if more strict animal cruelty laws were passed and tend to concentrate on their own birds and the non-necessity of more severe laws because their birds don't need them as they are well taken care of but we need to always keep in mind the plight of other animals that are not under our own care. Because laws are not necessary for large percentage of good people who would still do the right thing even if there were no laws, but they are indispensable for the small percentage of bad people.
