He finally Wolf Whistled for a contact call!

Wow. its all happening this week, mile stones galore
Took Julian six weeks, but today when i left the room (i will admit, hes in a whistely/talking/happy mood - hasn't helped before though) but he screamed at first, then whistled! and I responded immediately! Yey, hopefully it will keep rolling like the talking he''s doing.

That is a wonderful contact call.

You have to listen close for new words. Just like a child you need to help them by repeating what you think you heard. You will also hear him talking to himself as he practices his words.

One day I heard Rambo talking softly in the sunroom. I peaked around the corner. He was facing a window and saying words that he knew. When I laughed he jumped and turned and said "Don't you ever ever ever ..."

I only have one bird that uses whistles as his contact call and he only does it in the evening when he is put into his cage for his dinner and good night sleep (he is out all day long from dawn to sunset).
