Drawing blood...

Postby Saerphe » Sun Jun 21, 2015 11:21 am

...But not because she bit me! I happened to have a zit on my face that she preened a little too hard. I almost didn't even notice.

The joys of having a slightly less-than-fortunate complexion.

Sometimes they love us too much. Myrtle has been trying to preen a birthmark.

She's done this a few times today... and then she tried to climb up my face using my mouth as a step-stool and made my lip bleed.

Sounds like you need to protect your face a little better, while you still have one.

She usually uses my glasses to climb up, and she can't really get at my eyes when I'm wearing them, which is what I'm more worried about.

You may have Mount Rushmore, but you can't climb it. But I can climb my mom's face, don't you wish you were so lucky?

I am still amazed every day at the way my birdies treat me.

I rarely have this trouble, I don't let my birds on my head or hair cuz they used to get my hair wrapped around their legs and become trapped to my head- not fun, especially before they properly tamed up, :).

clover loves to preen hair through but no one likes her doing it because she literally pulls your hair and doesn't preen it but ends up breaking it when she cant go farther. she also ends up pulling it out. and she also has a habit caught on from lemon to fly on heads which is really troublesome when you have oil in your hair or when your cooking. and when you forget their on your head and you lean on a wall or lie down for a bit on even sit down. the fact that that small move gets them a hair around their neck or around their feet tangled up can be troublesome. especially because when their on your head they treat it like territory. you don't get to touch it without a bit of a nibble or a headbob

Please don't have loose birds flying around when you are cooking. It's a very dangerous thing to do!
