This is one of the reasons given for why some birds are rehomed that they didn't mate bond with the same person that was parent to them and who wanted the bird in the first place.
That can be true Wolf, but in my house everybird has bonded to me as the parent and than later as the mate. Even though I hope it will be my hubby my Meyers makes the mate bond to, I am expecting it to be me.
