It sounds to me that the problem will solve itself once Willow goes through puberty and becomes an adult. Most adults don't have much interest in juveniles.

Myrtle gets so involved with our human meals that we just started setting her a place at the end of the table and food on her plate from ours.

Yes, it's the age difference that is doing it and it will be OK by next breeding season so be prepared with fake eggs :D

@ liz
Mine pick and choose, Kiwi always knows when broccoli is on the menu  that is when he will show up every time and just help himself to it. I just take extra cause I know he will be there. Crayola loves mashed potato, but she does not help herself to a plate but sits on my shoulder and ''asks'' often forcefully, for some. (pecking at my cheek or lip ) knowing it is not a great dietary item for them I give her a wee bit, being a 'bird person' I just 'stick' a small glob to my shoulder and let her have at it. Clothes wash, I don't care about the mess and it is her preferred way to eat. I have TRIED to get her to eat from her own bowl, (the supper items that is...) but she is beyond hesitant to leave my shoulder, even for a favourite treat. She does eat her nighlty seed on her own, thank goodness.

@ pajarita.
When I got home tonight, after relating the events of the day to Doug, he told me that Willow had laid an egg ! Darn tootin' she did! I am sure it is not fertile as Kiwi still runs from her as if she is a demon with two heads (or just has "girl cooties"). I have the link for eggs (thank you) but have not as yet ordered any but will have to get on that.

Well, you can always hard-boil the egg or freeze it overnight. I don't recommend addling eggs any longer because that's what I used to do and I ended up with a baby cockatiel once proving that it doesn't always work.

But, my dear, please review your birds light schedule and diet because we are in molt season right now and they don't produce sexual hormones during it so something is not quite as it should be with her endocrine system. Sometimes, when they've been living under inadequate conditions for a long time and suddenly go to a home where everything is good and they start feeling stronger, get better nutrition, feel more comfortable, flight time, etc. they kind of try to 'cram' a season where it shouldn't be (sometimes they lay, sometimes they go into molt) as if their bodies were trying to make up for lost time but you've had her for two years now so this cannot be the case leaving only the 'normal' triggers for it (light and diet).

Also, I hope you are eating organic mashed potatoes with no salt, no milk, no butter, no nothing, because, otherwise, regardless of how little you give them, it's really not good for them at all.

And this is the one that is supposed to be only six months? Hmmm, it seems to me that she is older than that...

Yes, I suppose so. She was not banded. The man I bought her from did say 'about 6 or 7 months " I guess, and I think it must be close to a month now that she has been here. I have it in a folder.

He lied. If she was only 7 months old, she would be only now beginning puberty and no juvenile going through it would lay an egg after two weeks of arriving to a new home. It simply does not happen. Now, don't take what I am going to say as the gospel because, obviously, I have no way of really knowing this but it seems to me that this is an older bird which bred in the past and has been kept overly hormonal for quite some time.
