It is nice that he is feeding them. There is a problem in the future. Some of these birds will outlive him. They have become accustom to being fed instead of searching for food. The babies don't get taught to forage and search for food. When he is gone who will take over. How many are going to starve because they think THIS is where food comes from
When I lived in an apartment I had humming bird feeders on my balcony with quite a few birds coming every day. When I was ready to move I worried about the birds. In the same apartment complex was a man who had foliage plants on his balcony. I did not know him but asked him to take over with the birds. I gave him all but one feeder and a hanging basket of blooming flowers to transition them to his balcony.
