Japanese Bird Cafe

What do you guys think of this?

The birds seem to be sociable and in pretty good health, even though some of the larger birds don't really have adequate cage set-ups. The cockatoo seems to have pretty good feathering even though there's nothing for it to do in its cage. The budgies and cockatiels seem to have a decent bird room, and the rules for handling the birds seem pretty sound, as long as the staff are properly trained.

Mostly I want to learn how to make those little bird-shaped snacks. So cute. :D

Yes, the snacks were cute but, with me, it's taste that matters  The tiels and the budgies did seem to be comfortably housed but not the other birds - very, very inadequate cages. I also don't think it's healthy for the birds to be touched by all kinds of people...

It has been a while but there was a family restaurant in Myrtle Beach with a balcony for the birds.

I went to an owl cafe in Japan, and they had horrendous conditions there....they were making so much money for it though....$15 for 30 minutes, and the only thing you were served was a drink in a paper cup. They are also well known for their cat cafes.

The attitude towards animals in Japan is very different, and cafes capitalize on a fad mentality. While conditions vary from cafe to cafe, I think it's dangerous as the focus is on profit rather than the animals and their well-being. Also, birds are very different from cats in how they bond and the environment they need. There's a reason why the cat cafe fad is catching on in America (the difference being that in America, the cats are all adoptable), but other animals are less common.

That's my limited perspective, though. Thanks for sharing this, I had been wondering if there was a parrot cafe!
