He is still doing the juvenile moult, so will be watching his head crest come in. In some Meyers it comes with the juvenille moult and in some it takes years for it to appear if they are going to have one. In one Poicephalus facebook group I am in the person has a Meyers 3 months older than mine and he said his mother told him watching the head patch come in is like watching flowers beggining to bloom. Such a beautifull way to look at it. He sure is feeling cocky with his wings all grown in. He has tried to make some flying swoops at Gaugan, but she is not very disturbed by it, She is ready for him now. I am teaching him not to land on my head. I guess they like it because it is the highest point.
