She's home now. The person finally called back, and we went to retrieve her. She's a little weak right now, but she's eating. If she doesn't start regaining her strength, I'll take her to the vet.

Home is the best place for her and the vet might be stressful as Carolyn said its great that she's eating and if she eats veg that will give her some water.Best of luck :)

She's eating the veg, and I soaked a piece of millet spray in an electrolyte solution. She looks like she's starting to feel better already. It's gonna take her a little while to regain the weight she had lost, though.

I guess now would be a good time to try some gloop or chop recipes for her, because she really needs the nutrients

I am so glad you have her back! As long as she is eating she should recover quickly.

I am so glad to see that you were able to get her back and that even though she is tired and hungry that she appears to be good.

You guys really should have heard her when I got her out of the laundry basket the woman had her in. It almost sounded like she was crying. She stepped up without a problem, climbed to my shoulder, and made that sound in my ear.

She already appears to be recovering. She's strong enough to stand, and on one foot, even. She was actually climbing up the side of the laundry basket when I saw her. Her voice doesn't sound quite right, as its at a lower pitch than usual. I'm hoping she makes a full recovery.

Awww, poor, poor baby! She must have been terrified out there! SOOOOOO VERY VERY glad you found her! She is dehydrated so give her water in a large bowl with the tiniest pinch of salt and sugar in it (don't use human electrolyte solutions but, if you have any, use an avian one), feed her soft and wet food (like white rice cooked thoroughly, bread with a bit of fruit juice on it, lots of leafy greens, etc), soak her seed overnight and keep her quiet. She will be just fine, I promise you!

Thank you, Pajarita. She's really perked up now, and is eating more. She's definitely happy to be home.

Should I go through the 30 day quarentine like you do with new birds? I'm hoping she hasn't caught anything out there. I'm kooking for parasites like mites or something, but she seems fine for now. She's definitely happy to be home right now, and I'm happy for her to be home. I'm gonna really treat her like a queen for the next few days,

Yep you should for all the reasons Carolyn said and your new baby could catch something Lucy might have picked up or Weak Lucy could easily catch something from the new bird.

I'm pretty sure the baby is healthy. It's mainly Lucy I'm worried about.

Speaking of the baby, it's about time I show you guys some pictures! He's a bit of a messy eater, mans these were taken after feeding.

Still trying to figure out the mutation. Definitely a whitefaced Pearl. Recessive silver, possibly? I don't know.
