My vet would let me know through the rescue I used to volunteer at first (she was the one that did the annual check-ups and vaccinations) and later through FB.

That's good. I have a feeling that vets here have to sign a no compete contract so if they move on they can't take clients with them.

I'm trying to think of a way round that do that I know where he is without him directly telling me. Thing is I reckon his other clients will want to stay with him too and he can't tell everyone..... I probably have no chance he will. Especially as I am an occasional client, I'm not going every week with new rescues!

Rena has had her health check.

She was really well behaved at the vets. He is very happy with her condition.

Should have test results back next :)

Our vet didn't seem to mind being stalked either and just laughed when I joked about it.

Rena has had most of her test results back and everything is clear so far. I think it's just chlamydia we are waiting for now.

She has had a few baths now but doesn't get nearly as excited as Ollie does about them. Same with food, she is very keen at feeding time but just tucks straight in, Ollie let's us know vocally how fantastic he thinks his meals are! They really do have individual personalities but are so alike at the same time.

Rena has been sleeping on us too. She sits on our laps and shoves her body against our hands. Yesterday she chose me for her nap, the day before it was my boyfriend. She is very good at preening me too, really dedicated when she gets going whereas Ollie just holds my hair in his mouth without doing anything lol.

I'm so excited to introduce them but all in good time. Knowing my luck the last result will show her as a carrier. Hopefully not though.

Stop that! There is no good reason to put your energy into such a negative that only serves to feed anxiety, depression, worry, guilt and other such negative emotions in you and in both of your birds as they pick up on how you are feeling. Instead focus on how well things are coming together and about the great and wonderful times ahead for the three of you. OK?!?

No, no, it will be more than just fine, it will be perfect! She sounds absolutely delightful and everything is setting up for a great relationship between all four of you!

I'll consider myself told off! I did only say it light heartedly though. Things do seem like they are going too well though, she really is a delightful character.

She's talking a bit too now. Mostly I can't understand the poor girl but she has said "love you" clearly a couple of times.

I still need to get her nails cut though, they are on the long side and twisting her toes round at times. I wonder how she's going to deal with that bless her. of course I'll working with her to get her comfortable with having them done but they need doing fairly soon so won't have time to train her. Hopefully once done they won't need doing again anyway.
