I try not to laugh at others, I like to laugh with them, but I can't help it if they don't want to laugh with me.

I get into trouble sometimes because of my humor. The worst is when I comment on other's illness. Being auto-immune my body comes up with some real doosies. There was a time when I did not look like me. People who knew Liz did not know me until I spoke ( I supposedly have an odd voice). I refer to that time as looking more like my brother than my brother. Since it has passed that is the best way I can describe it.
While on a 3 day trip with the church ladies one of them was allergic to something and her mouth swelled up. Everyone got so upset including me that this poor woman was going through this. When it was under control and she was back to normal, I made a comment that she looked like a "sock puppet". Wow how church ladies can turn on me that fast was unnerving.
I have always made light of my past illnesses. I don't know if it is because I moved to the south and they thought I was strange or was I always strange and the northern people just ignored me.
My father died of Hodgkins Lymphoma. He suffered for many years. When someone would ask him how he was his answer was "when your sick you don't feel good". He had to make it funny for the one who did not or was not concerned enough to understand.

I am the same way, Liz. I always make fun of any physical problem I might have or have had... and I have also gotten in trouble thinking everybody is like me.

YAAAYYY for Rena! I think you can end the quarantine now, Marie. If she has normal values of white cells and has shown no symptoms, she is OK to release.

Hahaa this is so funny if you look at it from a human perspective.

We wheeled Rena in to the living room today. Ollie immediately went to the side of his cage nearest to her. Wiggled his tongue at her then promptly went and had a bath!!

They completely ignored each other for the rest of the day.

Lol that's what I thought!
It was so funny though, literally within seconds he was like "oh there is a lady in here, best get cleaned up" rofl.

We may be taking things a little fast but I have judged it very much on how they are together. They have both been out their cages at the same time. They have pretty much ignored each other. Early days of course, I'm not expecting love at first sight. I'm just glad they can both be out together, Ollie is seemingly as indifferent to Rena as he was to Harlie.
