My feathered babies

Postby angelboa » Fri Jan 29, 2016 12:43 am

Here are my babies
our rescued severe macaw Rigel (we think possibly a girl) she had been rubbing her beak out of board-um because she was caged with no toys and very little attention for the last 3 years (the new husband hated her so she went from an uncaged bird for 22 years to a cages bird)

We are making progress! :D

Our goffins cockatoo Griffin. When we got him only my boyfriend could hold him now he loves the entire family. He was also a plucker and had only fuzz on most of his wings and chest. Up untill we got Rigel he had all his feathers, he has plucked some on his chest but not to bad and he has stoped so it wont be long before he has them all back again.

Wow what beautiful birdies you have there, and it is really great that you adopted them too!
It is really good that you are making progress with Rigel and Griffin, and I think that with allot of time that Inca can also come around to trust you. Great Job angelboa!
And anthough she be little, she is fierce ~Shakespeare

Awww.

Inca will settle down eventually with work. I thought my last one Harlie would never come round but she did. It took years though but that's not typical for most birds.

Welcome to the forum! Beautiful babies! And thank you so much for adopting instead of buying! So many wonderful birds out there without a good home...
