It didn't impress me... They only show you a single picture of a single building -granted, it's a pretty large building but I don't see enough windows or a single skylight in it. They tell you of all the features like heating and such and the different aviaries in it but there isn't a single picture although there are lots and lots of pictures of the stuff for sale in the thrift shop - why? It doesn't adopt out even though it has 'over 800 birds' as per their own website - why? They only show you a few birds pictures, all in cages and some in ones made out of galvanized wire mesh (not good).
I know I sound very cynical but I know of several 'rescues' and one 'sanctuary' that are nothing but a way to make money -and that's only birds, I know many, many more dog and cat rescues that are not for the animals' sake but just a way of making money easily. And, sometimes, the person who started it had the best intentions in the world but, as the years went by and they kept on taking animals, things went South so badly that they ended up doing more harm than good. The problem with them was not that they wanted to make money but that they did not admit they were completely overwhelmed (I know of two bird rescues that were like that).
