Well, I like reptiles, too! One of my favorite animals to handle at the zoo where I used to work was an albino Burmese python - I loved that snake to pieces!

i love the way you think Vivatrix, we are all wackos if we look at it that way....lmao...To me wackos are ones to be wary off....I am Canadian so i use the words the way we do here. I tend to look at all people as doing the best they can with what they are, their sum of experiences, influences and what they have available.

Parrots are so different from other pets peole have, and so to have a being that is as intelleigent as a young human child means they need to be treated like the intelligent beings they are. The more peole realize that the parrots are very diffferent from most pets and learn more, the better parrots lives become. My daughter loves lizzard and one period of my life about 20 years ago it felt like our house was a zoo....lol....I love all animals, so have to be very strong to keeep my flock small....lol.. WE had a flock of quails last year that came through our yard and were such a source of enjoyment for all of us parrots and humans. Little by little they got picked off by predators and the surviors were the strongest ones. They would roll around and take dust baths in my garden and were so fun to watch. I really hope they remember and come through my yard again this year. I have some seeds all ready to sprinkle around for them under trees and bushes.

You may be surprised to learn how may people that have birds either have or have had many other types of animals as well things such as spiders, snakes and lizards and even the more normal varieties.
