Wow! So amazing! It would be so joyous to see these in the wild, I dream of going to SA someday, to see all the birds in their native habitat.

Partially in jest and partially for real. I know that I will never go to South America so I am waiting for them to pack their little birdie bags and move here.

Well, if your heart's desire is to see macaws flying free, all you have to do is go to Florida because there are already feral macaws there.

I don't really like Florida and I am not that picky, there are some parrots that can survive happily here where I live and those would be just fine with me. There are also other wild populations of parrots all over the YS and all we need to do is give them the same protections as the other birds instead of looking at them as invasive species of birds. And get tough on those few jerks that think it is great fun to kill them for the ' fun ' of it.

Agreed! I pretty certain lories, galahs and sulfurs are considered invassive here

While they may be considered to be agricultural pests, they are native birds in Australia, so they would not be classed as an invasive species there. Neither classification is good for them.
