Yes, it is. She started posting when her bird started doing it and every single piece of advice she got, she replied with a dismissive "Been there, done that" insisting that the problem was not care but that her bird was psychotic (pumped her full of drugs, too) then, one day about two weeks after she had gotten the other one, she posts that she put her to sleep. I was SOOOOO furious I couldn't see straight, I swear! I would have taken her. I don't know if she would have gotten better with me but I would have tried... sometimes, with self-mutilators, rehoming is the best thing for them -and not necessarily because the previous home was bad while the new one is good but just because the drastic change seems to kind of break the cycle.
