Well, poor thing is gone. My husband hates even taking one of our animals to be put down so he thought he was not going to be able to do it but, afterward, he came upstairs and told me that it wasn't bad at all because he could tell he was dying already - he had gotten real bad in the last 24 hours and you knew he had to be in a lot of pain.

Thank you, my dear, I appreciate it and, believe it or not, it was a relief because I worried constantly about him been in pain even though I was giving him metacam twice a day.

Beautiful! Both the babies and the room :D I can't have anything made out of glass in my house - too many dogs, cats, birds and a VERY naughty, hyperactive 7 year old grandson who comes to stay with his Mom (he actually calls me Mom) once a week. Just to give you and idea of his normal 'exploits', his paternal greatgrandmother has nicknamed him 'Tsunami'

Well between you and me and the fence post I have grand kids from 25 down to 3 and they all congregate at my house. So when I built the new house I put in a game room , a pool house and a family room to boot!!! I'm not a rich woman I just learned how to build so I can keep on building it bigger as needed . I'm also a very good business woman , when I started making home made jam for my customers at the Resturant, that took off into a full blown business in its self. sometimes my husband tells me not to do some of my hair brain ideas cause he knows there's going to come a full time job out of it. These little table stands that sit on the glass table are what my husband made me for my LSC lumie, and max the Quaker everyone else is too big to perch on them so it was something special just for them. I sent wolf 2 more pictures of a cage I just scored for the new macaw with Mathew proudly hanging around on it . He thinks he's king sh-t. Now and I got it for 100.00 can you believe it???    Now Huie is over there while I'm on the computer trying every inch of it to get Mathew out. This is the first time Mathew has been allowed in the bird room with Huie while the rest of the birds are running around. SO FAR SO GOOD ! :D BW

What a smokin hot deal, dam I wish I could get my hands on just one more of these big cages that cheap. Wolf don't you have small birds too ? I just watched the video that pajarita posted for me of the builder Quaker and omg I've got to see if max will build like that. The only problem I could see is first off isn't that promoting egg laying and breeding behavior and also the little wire pieces on the clothes pins ( could they be toxic ) I love my little Maxie so much I wouldn't want anything to hurt him. It's bad enough having a house of full grown raptors when he thinks he's the toughest. The only problem I had with the macawss today is when it was bed time and Mathew had to go to his new cage. Huie wasn't going to have it and knocked Mathew right off my arm from full flight across the room. Huie has a big roost across the bird room and is never caged . I guess I'll see what there sleeping arrangements look like in the morning. Hope he's on his usual perch cause he also watches the back of the property and let's me know if something is not right late at night. He growls like a dog and then goes off if somethings amiss, litterly waking the dead. thanks for posting pics wolf your a saint :D :D and thanks for the cool video pajarita that was the best. BW

I have a mated pair of budgies, The male has liver issues and I really need to trim his beak as it is getting too long and the female is naked, not even down on her body. She was this way when she came here and will never regrow those feathers.

I also have two parrotlets, a male and a female who were intended to be mates, but the male is not very cooperative with this although he is a retired breeder. Getting good pictures of them is akin to pulling hen's teeth.

My next smallest is My Senegal, the biggest issue with getting pictures of her is that she likes to stay on my shoulder and I can't aim the camera that way.
