Antonio Banderas is MY fantasy.
The Rb doesn't have to know anything about either of them!

The Rb is out of jail and back to his shenanigans.
Sometimes he pretends to be a cop in order to get next to hot hens.

Aside from the 'funny', what a BEAUTIFUL picture! Look at the red belly and the yellow sides!

They're stunning birds. I wonder why we don't see more?

Thanks, friends.
They are beautiful. I don't know why they're so rare.
They seem to have a reputation for being loud and obnoxious (if they're all like the Rb, it's well-deserved). I only know of 4-5 others. A couple are hellions and a couple are gentle and not very loud. I suspect it is a male-female thing. Who knows?

Well, I HAVE heard that they're a handful, but with so few out there who would know?

All parrots can be a 'handful' and all parrots can be 'easy'... some require more care, more time or a more difficult diet but it all depends on the care they are given. Conures tend to be loud and nippy and that's why they have a bad rep. Patagonians are not that popular for the same reason that bronzewing pies are not - they are deceptively 'dull' in their coloration and people tend to prefer the more colorful ones. It's not that they are not beautiful because they are! It's only that their beauty is more subtle, more of an acquired taste than the gaudy ones so people would buy sun conures and blue quakers but pass on the patagonians...

We have a bronzewing. She is a super sweet bird. (I'm assuming female by the way she "interacts" with the side of he cage.) I really don't know if her coloration is typical. A lit of the birds still have bad feathers. I know that she is super-super skinny.
