I knew Rickey bird and Nigel were related. Nigel is now claiming all the hens and there cages for himself  . In the morning when I let everyone out the first thing he does is visit Riki's cage then on to Lilly's and then he corrals both of them into the pantry closet while I'm fixing there breakfast and they all have a kissey face fest. It's the weirdest thing because Riki will kick his butt all over this house if she could catch him but when they don't think anyone's looking it's a full on lip smacking grooming session with both of the mollucan girls. Nigel is half the size of the girls. Oh well whatever floats there boat.

They must be Moron. The husbands can have as many wives as they can afford but they all need their own houses. Is Rickybird up to more wives?

BW, Liz, Pajarita...
Ya know, it might not get very high ratings, but some of us would love a tv reality show about parrots! I know I'd love to see a film crew at y'all's houses while all the excitement is going on!!!
The show could be called "Bird House Confidential".

I'm a bit camera shy but they would get a lot of action right now at my house. you know pajirta I was going to ask you about the timing thing cause since I've really adhered strictly to the solar schedule, and with all the new ones coming in last year I thought I've done something wrong cause I thought it to be a bit to early for this hanky panky going on. Also I know this is going to sound stupid but here goes ( Nigel and the mollucans can't make baby's can they cause Nigel tried to climb up on Riki's back briefly when they both were in my lap . Riki of course kicked his butt but the little monster acted like he was going to try to give it a go. well gale I don't know how you feel about it but if your Rickey bird catches wind of all the action Nigel is getting he may get mad at you and be a bit jealous.    BW

BW... I don't know how the Rb could be any meaner to me than he already is... but I could be wrong!

Meanwhile, here he is in a kinder, gentler pursuit...

BW, you just made my day. How very kind of you. And coming from one of you experienced parrot people... well, I'm very touched and proud. I love that bird with all my heart. And he loves his gigantic, featherless, eggless, homely hen. :)

30 years ago if I read this forum I would have laughed myself silly that you all were so attached and treated your birds like kids. It was about 18 years ago that I got my first old hen. She claimed my mother and needed her for comfort every time she was in labor to lay an egg and there were a lot of them. She called Momma just before she was ready to lay a new one. There were 12 eggs in January. She was not cared for properly and all I knew to do is increase the variety of foods and keep her cage clean.
I found her a male so her eggs would not go to waste but she stopped laying when I go Romeo. Romeo turned out to be no Romeo so I returned him and got her a Bubba.
I got him from a very crowded pet shop. Bubba was a good Bubba. He would sing and Amy would dance to his songs.
Sorry to side track your thread. It does amaze me the kind of personalities these little birds have.
