Meanwhile, back at the Rickeybird Ranch...

They are naughty, no doubt about that! We have an expression in Spanish that we use for children that are not really naughty but are always doing or getting into things that always end up bad (kind of like Dennis, the menance), we say that they are 'arteros' (no real translation for it, it means somebody who is very smart and good at making things -kind of resourceful, too- but also kind of sly) and that they don't invent anything good and I think it's perfect for parrots!

They are the intelligent ones who are bored and have started using the world as a toy to amuse themselves. Myrtle can find more things to get into. Like a 2 year old I can tell her no and she understands it. She will also ignore me and go back to what she was doing as soon as I turn my head. She is a brat baby.

Arteros... Dennis the Menace with a little Bart Simpson thrown in...

Rbird got a stainless tubular bell yesterday, and I put it in his cage. He immediately started creating an astounding noise, nonstop. Since people were coming and going, he had to stay caged, which he did not like. Wouldn't let me get in and remove it and couldn't be tricked outside even for a moment. Our ears were ringing all day.

And here I thought that the Rickeybird was busy ringing his bell ! Now I learn it was not the bell but your ears that he was ringing, Tricky Rickeybird !!
