Brandon, the third eye is the sixth Chakra (the other five main ones -there are many, actually- are base, navel, solar plexus, heart, throat and crown) in the religion I mentioned to you (some people call it, erroneously, Hinduism). Chakra comes from a Sanskrit word meaning wheel or circle and is often depicted as a circle of light. The Chakras in the body are energy points that provide 'channels' for the 'subtle body' which is kind of like the soul. I have a Hindu friend who practices this religion so I learned a little bit about it.
If you are going to believe in something, I suggest you learn about it. Because picking one single element of an entire (and very rich) religion to believe in without actually knowing what it truly represents doesn't make any sense. The third eye does not represent ESP or telepathy or anything like that. It has to do with inner balance between the higher and lower self (kind of like good and evil or light and darkness in each of us), and the ability to visualize emotions. It's a religious concept. And you might be interested to know that there are many historical references that actually confirm that Jesus did exist.
