Tiko | Gone but never forgotten

Postby ParrotsForLife » Sat Mar 04, 2017 9:54 am

Tiko still hasn't been found or seen, Nobody has giving up on her and theres a lot of stories of Parrots being reunited after months and I also came across an ad someone is selling a African grey that they listed as 7 years old and Tiko was 8 and this Grey looks a lot like Tiko and she was one of those huge greys unlike the other greys such as small Spyro.I sent this woman a message just asking a few questions hinting to Tiko without her knowing like she also put on the ad that she talks a lot so I asked her are there any words she says mostly.

Glad to see your staying on top of it , but Brandon that's the kind of stuff a kid would ask and she may get suspicious or think your not a serious inquirer. And yes I know your a kid  ask how long she's had it , what it likes to eat , female or male bonded and about vet records then if she can't answer these questions I'd get there strait away ! Good luck  BW

This was her reply

"Hi, we have him 7 years he is not ringed. He calls everyone in the house by name including the two cats, he knows his own name, he asks to go to bed and says when it's time to get up, that's just a few of the things he says"

I don't think Tiko would have learned others names so fast after leaving behind her family and Tiko didn't have a ring either.I also noticed the feet look like theres a shade of two different colours different from Tiko.

The bird sounds too good to be true and if they are flippers they may be using pics of previous birds theyve had or even pics theyve found on the net. Id go and have a look at it if i were you.

When these ads selling birds describe perfect birds im always cautious, i find the ones describing some faults and behavioural issues are far more trusting and they care more about where the bird ends up.

I don't think it sounds too good to be true because Tiko was like that and Greys usually do pick up on everyones name.I don't need to be cautious cause I'm not buying a bird.

I'd know what she looks like so every other Grey wouldn't look the same

I understand. I was merely commenting that I would be investigating every advert in person to check if it could be my bird, I would probably be obsessed !
