Mia- the Hahns macaw

Postby thejoie » Tue Jun 29, 2010 6:46 pm

Here's a few pictures of the ruler of my world- Mia. She'll be 3 years old this fall and has been with me since she was 8 weeks old.

She's my soul mate as far as birds go. She's bossy, stubborn, opinionated... but she's also sweet and funny and so bright. She makes me laugh. She drives me crazy. I always say that she'd superglue herself to me if she could just figure out how to work the superglue bottle. I love her to the stars and moon!

I have always thought that Hahns Macaws had the cutest speaking voices of all of the parrots! Blue Crown Conures come in at a close second.

I would say that that would be almost (ALLLMMMOOOST) one downside to the Hahns macaws. They can be VERY "one person" birds. Mia loves me and she likes my mom. Anyone other than the two of us is almost guaranteed a lovely nip!
