The countdown is on!

Leonard thinks have 3-4 weeks to go until my little Sennie is ready to come home! I will be counting down the days for sure, I have been in tizzy, feeling like a kid at Christmas every time I catch a glance of the cage in the corner of the living room/kitchen (it will be there for a few weeks for quarantine before moving into my bedroom).

Since I was a complete ditz yesterday and forgot to take pictures Leonard snapped a few right after their mid-day feeding today for me. In a week or so he'll be working more with them on handling as well as stepping up once they can perch well enough for it to be safe.

I know, I didn't want to leave without both of them yesterday when I got to see them! 45mins at the breeders was WELL worth the2 1/2 hour drive there. I also got to interact with his 4 baby African Grays, 3 were 3 months and 6month old. They were too much fun and quickly tried to imitate what I was doing! His female Hahns Macaw played peek-a-boo with me as well & the GCC/Yellow Sided Conures were demanding attention by the dozen! (he had 14 babies in 2 HUGE cages that were wanting scritches)

The Sennies were hatched on May 22 & 24th =)

aww i love going to a place called franklin zoo im going there on tuesday and wednesday of next week because im doing a zoo keeping course there but they have heaps of birds that were all peoples pets that people underestimated they have a cockatoo called robert who tells you a story about a rabbit and they have a Corilla with really sharp claws (i learnt that the heard way) about 80 lovebirds and they have rainbow lorikeets red collar lorikeets and musk lorikeets plus 2 kea its a haven for unwanted pets ex circus animals and excess animals from other zoos there latest edition is jumbo the elephant who came from a circus. but i love all there birds i will get some videos of them when i go on tuesday and wednesday, i personaly would lvoe to take robert home any day he was given to franklin zoo because he plucked his feathers and didn;t look pretty anymore but in my eyes hes gorgous!

i dont really like cockatoos but robert is an exception

they also have sun conures ringnecks and a barraband

I'm seriously like a kid at Christmas about all of this, I was practically skipping through the store singing "3 weeks, 3 weeks, 3 weeks" for the entirety of my 8 1/2hr shift (when I wasn't on the road driving and singing along to the radio).I think I am going to drive my co-workers insane by the time the 3 weeks are up! At least everything is keeping me in high spirits though!
