Pretty cool to watch this, thanks so much for sharing! Now he's starting to look like a GCC, just a bit, around the eyes.

She doesn't like it but not a day goes by without us looking in the nest box and touching things etc We started this pattern well before she had the chicks. She is use to it but doesn't like it. I also don't go in the nest while she is in there. Mind you, you should see the looks I get when she sees one of her babies my hand!

I must stop looking at these cuties :D each time I do I think maybe, just maybe, I could get another gcc (don't I wish?). lol, but that is definitely a gcc "smile" the baby has in the pic ;)

Thanks Guys another update.

This photo is of the same bird again, this time at Day 16. Second coat of Down is coming through along with Feather Sheaths are coming through! This guys is really funny because if I put him on our bed he tries to follow me.

They are so ugly, it makes them beautifull. I love the pictures. :D

I heard that when handeling baby parrots you need to be very carefull when you take the babies out of the nestbox. If the parents try to attack you and the chicks are present, they will imprint on that behavior and become more difficult to handle as a pet later on. While as you wait for the parents to leave the nestbox out of their own and you take the chicks out without the parents putting up a fight, you get very sweet and lovable pets.

I was wondering about your views on that.
