I think what you say sounds logical to me. We only ever remove them when both parents are out of the box. I honestly can't imagine putting my hand in the box with mom in there :violin: As soon as I put them back the female would come in the nest box to check them. She seems more relaxed now when I take them out and put them back.

So far the babies pretty much follow us and the seem to be able to pick me out of my son and wife. I have a feeling this is purely due to the fact that my scent would be the strongest because I feed and clean the cages etc. Well that's what I put it down to :)

The one I've pictured here is a really cute in that he will cuddle up to us and actually fall asleep in our hand. Interestingly as small as he is, his droppings are a decent size

Another update of the little ones. Should start to see some feathers soon :) Interestingly they are all beginning to develop personality.

Glad to hear you're all enjoying these guys as much as we are.

We had friends over on Saturday night and their girls wanted to hold them. I got them to wash and disinfect their hands before handling the Chick. They were really blown away by how warm and soft they are. It was really good to see.

Two of them are with us now and in the brooder. They are so amazing to watch. I will try to get some video of them preening each other etc. If you think they are clumsy in the video you should see the big one try to scratch himself LOL

Interestingly as much as they are small, I can honestly say their droppings are 100% full size!

Hi Guys, my little feathered friends have been keeping the whole family pretty busy. In any case here is a picture of the same bird at day 23 (4 days older than the last picture I posted)

Some more recent pics of the same bird. He doesn't sleep as much now and plays with the toys in the brooder. Its really very cute to watch. The other interesting thing I've noticed is they move away from where they sleep to poop.
