Wow, depending on shipping it is still cheaper to order from them than it is from many Canadian stores

Yes.

To be honest, I did get the one in the picture from Parrotdise Perch in Mississauge ONLY because I happened to be in the Toronto area back in May and figured I'd check the store out. There would have been absolutely no point in shipping it from that store to me versus shipping it directly from Mother Pluckin'.

I did order another one (both are Medium sized) back in July, but went with a friend on the order and in the end that help cut shipping costs so...well worth it :)

I'll get one eventually but since I can't hang anything from the roof it'll have to wait until I am in my own place after school - the orbit and atom are WAY too big to use in a cage :)

It really is too bad pretty much NONE of my friends have birds or I'd eagerly share shipping costs on things to be shipped.

I went to Parrotdise Perch for the first time yesterday over lunch. If the 401 isn't bumper to bumper it only takes me 10 minutes to get there from work.

Going over my lunch wasn't enough time to really look around, but it at least gave me an idea of everything they have at the store and see if it was worth driving from Guelph one weekend.

I only bought a few foot toys while I was there (I already blew my bird toy budget for the week at Exotic Wings and Things on the weekend) ... but I added you as my referrel Natacha ... apparently you'll get some kind of loyalty points whenever I purchase something. Cory also recommended the store, but you referred first. I'm specifically looking for a net, so that purchase will be over $100 when I do get it. They didn't have any in stock yesterday, but hopefully they will in September when I'm ready to go back.

Yeah Loyalty Points! I guess i get to redeem them when I buy stuff? That'll have to wait until the next time I'm there in person.

Be careful when buying stuff there though, really evaluate the prices. I found that for quite a few "regular" items, I was better off buying them elsewhere.

Oh and for the nets...Sale on get a grip nets. My mom and I ordered both a medium-long (they are now sold out of those) and it only cost $15 to ship both and trust me, they are heavy things. It is decidedly worth buying there, these nets are normally much more.
I currently have a medium short hanging in my bird room and it's a nice size for the Pois; I wanted the slightly longer one because when I'll have more space, I'll try hanging half of it like a hammock, half of it just hanging down..well that's the plan for now anyways ;)

I think that's how it works.

Yes I did figure that out while I was there. We have a pretty good store in town for perches and regular toys and I get a 20% discount because I'm a member of the Golden Triangle Parrot Club so I wouldn't be buying from there on a regular basis.

Thanks for the link. Its good to know there are options, because I haven't seen those nets in too many stores. The woman at Parrotdise Perch recommended the Medium-short or Medium-long. Its good to hear from a fellow poi owner that the size is good.

Well the small would be too small. And in the larger, the rope diameter is thicker so...

Here's a picture of the medium-short with Shade on it to give you an idea of the size..

I just bought some toys at Parrotdise Perch and was asked if I wanted to redeem my points - I got $50 off my purchase! : ) I think their points system adds up quickly.

PS Happy birfday to Petey!
